Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I get a GDL or PSV medical examination in Johor Bahru?
Klinik Muhibbah in Masai, Johor Bahru provides GDL and PSV medical examinations for commercial drivers. Bring your IC and JPJ medical form. Walk-in available — no appointment needed. Our doctor will complete and stamp the form on the same visit. Please call for current pricing.
Is the GDL medical different from a regular health check?
Yes, the GDL/PSV medical follows a specific JPJ format assessing fitness to drive commercial vehicles. Key requirements include visual acuity of at least 6/12 in the better eye, absence of conditions causing sudden incapacity (epilepsy, uncontrolled diabetes, severe heart disease), and adequate hearing. Our doctors are familiar with all JPJ requirements and will complete the official form.
Can I get a GDL medical if I have diabetes or high blood pressure?
Having diabetes or hypertension does not automatically disqualify you from a GDL or PSV licence — it depends on whether the condition is well-controlled and whether there are complications affecting driving safety. Our doctors will assess your current control and advise on fitness. Bring your recent blood test results and medication list for a more complete assessment.
