Diabetes Management Masai — Klinik Muhibbah

Living with diabetes in Masai should not mean half-day queues for every HbA1c check. Klinik Muhibbah provides ongoing diabetes management with on-site blood tests and GP review, including evening hours for people who work shifts.

What ongoing diabetes care looks like here

Visits typically cover glucose or HbA1c testing, blood pressure, medication review (including side effects and adherence), foot symptom questions, and a realistic plan for diet and activity in Johor’s food environment — not generic pamphlets only.

If lipids, kidney markers or ECG are due, they can often be drawn or performed the same day so you are not chasing three appointments across town.

Both Dr Prabagaran and Dr Kirubah see chronic disease follow-ups; continuity matters more than chasing a different clinic every month.

For newly diagnosed and poorly controlled sugar

New diagnoses need clear education: what the numbers mean, when to seek urgent care for very high or very low sugar symptoms, and how fasting for tests interacts with your tablets or insulin.

Poorly controlled readings are a reason to come sooner, not to wait for an annual screen. Bring your home glucometer log if you keep one.

Teleconsultation at RM30 can help with medication questions between physical visits; examinations and blood draws still need you on site.
