A febrile child after midnight is every parent’s stress test — but Klinik Muhibbah is not 24 hours. During opening hours we provide paediatric GP assessment for fever, cough, ear pain and mild wheeze, with honest escalation when hospital is safer.
Age-appropriate exam, hydration check, look for focus of infection (throat, ears, chest, urine symptoms), and dengue consideration during Johor waves. Blood tests are not automatic for every fever — they are used when clinically useful.
Bring immunisation records and any medicines already given (paracetamol timing matters).
Dr Kirubah and Dr Prabagaran both see children for primary-care presentations.
Infant under 3 months with fever, difficulty breathing, blue lips, seizures, inconsolable lethargy, purple rash, stiff neck, persistent vomiting, or not passing urine — emergency care.
Do not wait for clinic opening if these appear at night.
