Stop antihistamines (cetirizine, loratadine, chlorpheniramine) for at least 3 days before the test as they suppress the skin reaction. Do not apply cream or lotion to the forearm on the day of the test. Inform the doctor of all medications including nasal sprays. Bring a list of suspected trigger foods or environments.
