FOMEMA (Foreign Workers Medical Examination Monitoring Agency) is the government-mandated body overseeing health screening of all foreign workers in Malaysia. The programme is administered under the Ministry of Home Affairs and enforced under the Immigration Act. All foreign workers must undergo a FOMEMA medical examination within 30 days of arriving in Malaysia on a work visa, and annually thereafter for the duration of their employment in Malaysia. Doctor's Assessment and Report: the examining doctor completes the FOMEMA medical report form and makes a fit or unfit determination.
